How much are driving lessons in Norwich?
Norwich Driving School currently charges £40 per hour. A 1.5 hour lesson is £60 and a 2 hour lesson is £80.
Do you offer manual driving lessons?
Yes. The instructor’s tuition car is manual, so standard lessons are for learners working towards a manual licence.
Do you offer intensive driving courses?
Yes. Course options include 10, 16 and 20 hours, plus a 10 hour finishing course. An assessment lesson is recommended so the course can match your current ability.
Which areas around Norwich do you cover?
The usual service area includes Horsford, Hellesdon, Old Catton, Sprowston, Taverham, Drayton, Spixworth, Costessey, Thorpe St Andrew and other nearby Norwich areas. Ask if you are just outside these locations.
Can you help nervous or returning drivers?
Yes. Lessons can be paced around your confidence, including refresher tuition for parking, roundabouts, busier roads or returning to driving after a break.
Can I learn in an automatic car?
The instructor’s car is manual. Tuition in your own automatic car may be possible by arrangement, subject to the car being suitable and correctly insured.
What do I need for my first lesson?
You need a valid provisional driving licence. Bring any glasses or contact lenses you need for driving.
Do you provide theory-test support?
Lessons can include help connecting practical driving to theory knowledge, hazard awareness and show-me/tell-me questions.
Do you offer weekend lessons?
Weekend availability can sometimes be arranged. Ask when you contact the school.
Can I book a 2 hour assessment?
Yes. A 2 hour assessment is useful if you already have experience or are considering a focused course.
Is a practical test included with an intensive course?
No. Practical tests are booked through DVSA and availability is separate from driving tuition.
